How it Works
Positional Anti-Snoring Therapy
The most common recommendation for easing or eliminating snoring is to sleep on the side instead of the back. This phenomenon is called positional anti-snoring therapy and is said to open the airways wider.
Sleeping on your back causes gravity to pull the jaw and tongue back, narrowing airway passages which vibrate and cause the snoring sound. As most snorers will agree, it is difficult --if not impossible-- to remain on your side all night because once asleep you are no longer in control of your sleeping position.
How the Anti-Snore Shirt is Constructed The REM-A-TEE Anti-Snore Shirt is constructed to make it virtually impossible for a person wearing this comfortable snoring remedy to roll over onto their back from the side position while sleeping.
The Anti-Snore Shirt has three foam insertions about 3” thick secured into pockets on the back of the T-shirt. These foam pieces act as a soft bumper which creates a gentle resistance when the wearer tries to roll onto their back. Remaining on your side allows your airways to open wider than it would be possible for someone who is on their back. The wider airway allows air to flow through freely reducing and/or eliminating the vibrations that cause the snore sound in narrow airways.
The key element to the Anti-Snore Shirt’s success is the foam’s pressure is great enough to prevent the snorer from rolling over, yet gentle enough to ensure the wearer is not awoken by this snoring treatment. By stopping snoring before it begins, the snorer can enjoy a restful night’s sleep. They will not be awoken by an annoying device or frustrated partner “reminding” them to quit snoring!
